Yup, I’m old.

20 freakin’ years.

  1. Looks like you’re a couple of years ahead of my on the curve–my 20th reunion doesn’t hit for two more years.

That track list is pretty depressing, though. There are exactly two songs on there I occasionally listen to now, and one that I occasionally hear in Negativland samples. I _remember_ a lot more of them, of course, but that’s not necessarily a good thing.

  2. ha! i just realized you went to the same high school as my cousins. ever know any of the Metcalf family?

i hate to think that ‘keep your hands to yourself’ might have been the best song on that list (except for, i suppose, the U2).

  3. Man, that’s a crazy small world.

Went to the same grade school as the Metcalfs, too, if we’re thiking of the same Metcalf family.

Keith almost got me fired from my movie-theater job. He and some of our friends came in drunk one night. I think they were seeing Three Amigos. When my shift ended, I joined them. Little later, Keith put his head down and blarghed on the floor. The puke rolled down the incline onto the shoes of the people in front of him. He got shitcanned from the theater and my friends got kicked out.

I think I drove him home that night and promised to never tell his family. Well, until now. I guess 20 years later, the statute of limitations has expired.

    Ah, good times.

  4. Hi Mike..LOL…I cannot remeber ever doing this but I have slept since then..I’ll check with Eric too. Went to the reunion and it was pretty cool seeing how many have changed and some have not. Jeff B was telling me this story was out here on so I thought I’d find out. Needless to say live and learn. I will make sure to advise the spu-ing drunk kid behind me to hit a popcorn bucket! I do travel up to NY on and off, next time maybe we can hook up.
